western civ online school blog #10!

Today Mr. shick had us identify and describe two examples of Grecian architecture.

1. the most famous greek building is most definitely the Parthenon. The Parthenon is a temple to the goddess Athena. It sits on top of the acropolis, a hill in Athens. It was built because Athens was Athens's favorite god.

2. Another famous greek building is the temple of Hephaestus. The temple of Hephaestus is the best preserved Greek temple in the world and only sits a half a kilometer away from the Parthenon. it was built in a district of Athens with many boundaries and industry, thus being named for the god of metal craft and of the forge.

  1. Tighten up, Lane! You only posted one image (not two), my name is spelled Schick (not shick), it's Greek (not greek), the goddess (not god) is Athena (not Athens), you should capitalize the first word in every sentence - I think you get the picture.
